About Landry Kelly

I'm a sculptor based in Texas and a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.

My horses are created out of plaster and wood. Each one is entirely unique and inspired by real horse breeds.  I like to use the realistic colors and patterns found on horses and then add a splash of brilliant Southwestern flare to them. On others I will use a palette of colors that wouldn't be found in real life but they seem to fit the horse's unique expression or personality just right.

The long legs on my sculptures are inspired by the illusion created when animals are reflected in water and the way it appears to stretch their legs to double the length.

I have always had a love for horses and it brings me great joy to create and share these creations with you.  I have sculpted other livestock and wildlife animals as well upon request, including deer, cattle, and bison.

They range in height from about 12 inches for the small ones to 32 inches for the large ones.  Because each one is made by hand there may be a slight variance in height.  I also make ornament sized horses which average about 3 inches in size.
